Judging is asynchronous and flexible—judges will be assigned submissions through the VE Competitions Manager and can complete scoring over multiple days at their own pace. \nJudges will evaluate written business overviews based on a provided rubric\, covering elements such as company mission\, rationale\, marketing strategy\, financial highlights\, and overall organization. SUMMARY:NYS-VE Regional Business Plan Competition and Trade Show 2026
DESCRIPTION:The New York State Regional Business Plan Competition and Trade Show is a two day event at LIU Post that brings together firms from all over Long Island and NY state to compete in the first round of the National Business Plan Competition as well as participate in a trade show to demonstrate their business skills learned through the VE program. The event is broken down into the two following events: \nBusiness Plan Competition – The National Business Plan Competition challenges students to demonstrate their business expertise through written submissions and oral presentations of their company’s complete business plan. Startup companies and continuing businesses may be presented. The top teams from this competition will earn a spot to compete in the Long Island Business Plan Championship Round in February. \nBest Booth & Sales Pitch Competition – The VE Trade Exhibition welcomes firms from around NY State to showcase their student-run businesses and demonstrate their skills by promoting and selling their products and services to guest shoppers. Volunteers will rate Sales Pitch And Booth Design participating as guest shoppers and interacting with students on the trade show floor.
