DESCRIPTION:The 2026 California State Conference and Exhibition will bring together VE High School and JV Middle School students for two days of leadership development\, competitions\, and business-focused activities. Judges play a vital role in evaluating student performance and providing meaningful feedback as participants showcase their skills in business planning\, marketing\, sales\, communication\, and design. \nThis year’s conference will take place on February 4–5\, 2026 at the Dignity Health Convention Center (formerly Mechanics Bank Arena & Convention Center)\, 1001 Truxtun Avenue\, Bakersfield\, CA 93301. \nJudges can register for specific competitions and time slots which include: \nFebruary 4 \nBusiness Plan (Preliminaries & Semi-Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nMarketing Plan (Semi-Finals & Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nHuman Resource Plan (Semi-Finals & Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nFebruary 5 \nBusiness Plan (Finals) – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nBooth Design Competition – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nSales Pitch Competition – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nAdditional events such as the Trade Show\, Video Commercial\, Elevator Pitch\, Newsletter\, and Rapid Prototype will also be taking place throughout the conference. \nJudges will evaluate student submissions and presentations based on established rubrics and provide constructive comments to support students’ growth. Judges review executive summaries in advance and evaluate presentations and Q&A. \nSales Presentation – 8:15 am meeting; 8:45 am – 11:30 am presentations \nStudents deliver planned sales pitches directly to judges. \nSales Presentation (At Booth) – 8:15 am meeting; 9:45 am – 11:30 am judging \nJudges interact with students at their trade show booths and evaluate sales skills. \nElevator Pitch Challenge – 8:15 am meeting; 9:00 am – 11:00 am presentations \nStudents deliver 90-second pitches about their company\, product\, or service. \nBest Booth Competition – 9:00 am meeting; 9:30 am – 10:30 am judging \nJudges score booths based on design\, presentation\, and marketing effectiveness.

DESCRIPTION:On the first day of the 2026 Southern Region Competition & Exhibition students from Florida will have the opportunity to compete in the Regional Business Plan Competition for their opportunity to move on to the National Competition in NYC. Students will also compete in department competitions such as HR\, Finance & Marketing to qualify to compere in NYC in April.\nOn the second day of the conference firms throughout the country will have the opportunity to be a part of the Trade Show to demonstrate their sales techniques and compete in events such as Best Booth and Sales Pitch competitions.

SUMMARY:MI Midwest Business Plan Competition - MI State Final Round
DESCRIPTION:Please note: This judging commitment includes both pre-work in the VE Online Competition Manager as well as participation in the live\, in-person Finals. \nCompetition Timeline – Michigan State Finals \nJanuary 25 – February 2\, 2026\nJudges will use the VE Online Competition Manager to review and score 4-page Executive Summary documents for all state finalist teams. Scores should follow the official competition scoring guide. \nTuesday\, February 10\, 2026\nThe Top 6 teams from Round 1 will present live during the State Finals at a TBD location. Judges will be assigned all 6 finalist firms to evaluate. Each judge will: \n\nAttend the judges’ meeting (time TBD).\nView each team’s oral presentation.\nParticipate in a Q&A session with the students.\nEnter scores for the Oral Presentation (60%) and Q&A Session (20%) in theVE Competition Manager\, which will be combined with their Executive Summary (20%) scores to generate overall results.

SUMMARY:Championship Round Business Plan Competition
DESCRIPTION:The VE Business Plan Competition challenges students to demonstrate their global business expertise through written submissions and oral presentations. Volunteers will utilize industry experience to give students valuable feedback as a competition judge. Students will present their work on a live video conferencing tool and volunteers will watch presentations\, score teams and give feedback based on the competition rubric. The top 10 teams from this competition will move on to compete with teams around the country at the National Championships in NYC in April.
