SUMMARY:2026 California State Conference and Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 California State Conference and Exhibition will bring together VE High School and JV Middle School students for two days of leadership development\, competitions\, and business-focused activities. Judges play a vital role in evaluating student performance and providing meaningful feedback as participants showcase their skills in business planning\, marketing\, sales\, communication\, and design. \nThis year’s conference will take place on February 4–5\, 2026 at the Dignity Health Convention Center (formerly Mechanics Bank Arena & Convention Center)\, 1001 Truxtun Avenue\, Bakersfield\, CA 93301. \nJudges can register for specific competitions and time slots which include: \nFebruary 4 \nBusiness Plan (Preliminaries & Semi-Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nMarketing Plan (Semi-Finals & Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nHuman Resource Plan (Semi-Finals & Finals) – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nFebruary 5 \nBusiness Plan (Finals) – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nBooth Design Competition – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nSales Pitch Competition – 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nAdditional events such as the Trade Show\, Video Commercial\, Elevator Pitch\, Newsletter\, and Rapid Prototype will also be taking place throughout the conference. \nJudges will evaluate student submissions and presentations based on established rubrics and provide constructive comments to support students’ growth. Join us for various competitions\, a trade show\, and networking opportunities. \nThe online submission competitions happen before the event\, and the winners will be announced at the conference on February 4th. \nJudging Period: December 18\, 2025 – January 17\, 2026 \nFor this competition\, you will be judging submissions on our VE Hub. \nPlease register below to be a judge for the following online submission-based competitions: \nMarketing Plan: Firms submit a written marketing plan. Submissions are evaluated on strategy\, clarity\, feasibility\, and professionalism.\nHuman Resource Plan: Firms submit a written human resource plan. Submissions are evaluated on organization\, strategy\, and professionalism.\nVideo Commercial: Each firm must record a 30-to 60-second video commercial promoting their business and/or product(s)/service(s) to attract potential customers.\nCompany Newsletter: Firms create a newsletter demonstrating communication\, content quality\, and design.\nBanner Ad – Valentine’s Day Theme: Firms create a 728×90 pixel banner ad (leaderboard) designed to spark interest and attract traffic to a website. (VE-JV Invited)\nBusiness Plan: Firms submit a 4-page overview of their business plan\, evaluated for content\, clarity\, and professionalism. (Top 42 firms only)
