Korean Educators Learn About the VE Approach to Career Readiness

By September 6, 2017 News

On August 25, 2017, the VEI National Office welcomed fifteen educators from Seoul, South Korea as part of the Empathy SEEDS Tour, a United States study tour for educators to learn more about career readiness programs available to U.S. students.

The visit was organized by the Korea Hana Foundation (also known as the North Korean Refugees Foundation), an independent organization of the Ministry of Unification located in Seoul, South Korea, that works to develop the capacities of those who provide educational services for students who are either North Korean defectors or have parents who are North Korean. These educators have dedicated themselves to this population for an extended period of time in either a private school, social welfare center, shelter, or group home setting.

VEI is an internationally-recognized leader in preparing students for success in college and careers, continually pushing efforts forward to provide students with the best career readiness experience possible. As these efforts continue with the implementation of the Career Readiness Framework throughout the VE experience, we welcome those who are interested in learning how to solve one of the biggest challenges facing education and the economy.
