After a three-year hiatus, the Western region’s 2022 San Diego Trade Show came back in full swing! This event was one of VE’s Conference & Exhibitions, and was hosted by San Diego State University (SDSU) and Mt. Miguel High School’s VE programs and Facilitator, James McFarland. More than 40 firms and over 1,000 attendees from the Western region – and one student firm (Fly by Fashion) from New York – participated in this dynamic opportunity, which included 11 in-person competitions on December 2 and pre-judged submissions online.
Day-of Live events Included: Best Booth Design, Elevator Pitch, Novice Booth Design, Novice Salesmanship, Salesmanship, SDSU Scavenger Hunt, and Social Media Contest.

Miguel High School, including their VE team, JROTC, and choir; Karl Winston, Director of SDSU’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program; and the nearly 40 volunteers, judges and speakers from the SDSU Hospitality & Tourism Management program who helped make this incredible event happen.
