In September, 35 students from the Northside School of Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (NSITE) in San Antonio, Texas traded their classrooms for the conference floor at Osaic’s ConnectED Conference, the company’s premier national event that brings together financial professionals, institutional partners, and sponsors for three days of learning, networking, and inspiration.

From the moment they stepped into the General Session, students were immersed in the excitement of the financial world. They heard from Philip Blancato, Osaic’s Chief Market Strategist, who delivered an engaging address on the state of the economy. Following his presentation, Phil made a special visit to meet with the students, listening to their business ideas and answering their questions in an intimate Q&A session that left a lasting impression.

Throughout the conference and hosted by the Women’s Forum, students joined a panel discussion with financial advisors, tested their budgeting skills through the interactive Jelly Bean Game, and received personalized feedback on their VE business ventures.

For the NSITE students, ConnectED offered more than a glimpse into the financial industry; it was a powerful reminder of how their VE experience connects to real-world careers. Thanks to Osaic’s partnership, these future entrepreneurs walked away inspired, informed, and motivated to take the next steps toward their goals.

“Each interaction with the students, faculty and the VEI program leaves me even more impressed.  It is a privilege to partner together and continually enhance our shared efforts to support the students in their growth and success. I’m thrilled to say, I think we are just getting started!”
