California-based VE coordinator Alan Gersten was interviewed by Tim Ranzetta of Next Gen Personal Finance about what it’s like to facilitate a VE firm. From daycare, to marriage licenses, to resigning jobs, Gersten’s VE students get the full real-life experience from the comfort of their computer lab/company office.
Take a virtual walk through Gersten’s experience as a VE coordinator and learn about his students, teaching style, and what he takes away from being in the classroom. For example, many of Gersten’s students, like thousands of VE students across the nation, come from low-income families. He highlights the importance of learning about professionalism and careers “to break this pattern of poverty.”
