Virtual Enterprises International (VEI) announces two new executive appointments that will advance the growth and development of VE programs.
Tom Smith joins VEI after serving over 20 years as Managing Director at Deloitte in NYC. While there he was responsible for managing 400+ Fortune 100 clients. In addition to his deep business background, Tom has been a volunteer coach, mentor and judge for VEI for the past 11 years. He has also served in the US Navy.
Tom said of his new appointment, “I have been committed to serving VEI students for many years and have seen first-hand the enormous value of our programs. “It is an honor to be asked to lead this organization in its quest to provide the VEI program to an ever-broadening constituency. I look forward to partnering with the entire VEI team and Board to fulfill that vision.”
In addition, Rebecca Mooney joins as Chief Development Officer and VEI’s lead strategic fundraiser. After spending the past 20 years in nonprofit leadership at the local, regional and national levels, Rebecca brings the perfect blend of high level strategy and tactical implementation as well as her fundraising skills of translating passion into partnership.
