Press Release from August 13, 2013
Northwest Independent School District, located north of Fort Worth, Texas, is proud to announce their partnership with Virtual Enterprise International (VEI). VEI is a campus-based global simulation that transforms students into business executives and classrooms into actual corporate offices. VEI replicates all of the functions and demands of real businesses. Students from Northwest High School and Byron Nelson High School will have the opportunity to conduct business with students, both domestically and internationally, in more than 40 countries. This innovative learning experience further supports the Northwest ISD commitment to graduate all students college and career ready.
A more comprehensive version of VEI, to include dual-credit course options in Logistics, Human Resources, and Global Business, is planned for V.R. Eaton High School in 2015. Imagine the advantage this gives Northwest graduates in college as well as in the workplace!
