On March 7, 2019, Murrieta Valley High School’s two VE firms, Nurture and Safe ‘N Sound, were featured in Valley News’ online publication for successfully qualifying to compete in the National Business Plan Competition taking place at the 2019 Youth Business Summit in April. It is the fifth consecutive year that both teams have qualified for the competition, with one of the teams placing in the top three for the last three years.

“Our VE program has taken on a life of its own. There is an expectation that the students have for themselves when they get accepted into the program. They are motivated by wanting to do even better than the teams that came before them. Since the students are able to take VE for two years, the returners are able to guide the new students and set the tone, but the new students are also aware of the reputation of Murrieta Valley Virtual Enterprise and are determined to uphold it.” – Joel Levin, Murrieta Valley HS VE Coordinator
