We hosted our inaugural Padel for a Purpose fundraising event last week, bringing together an enthusiastic community of supporters for an evening of spirited competition and meaningful connection. The event celebrated the power of collaboration and sport in advancing VE’s mission to prepare students for college, careers, and life.
The evening was led by VE Board Member Derek Feinman, whose vision and dedication helped launch this initiative. His passion for both Padel and VE’s mission inspired attendees to reflect on the organization’s lasting impact on the next generation of business leaders and innovators.
Throughout the night, players and guests enjoyed friendly competition, networking, and shared commitment to supporting education and youth development. The tournament concluded with the recognition of standout performances and memorable moments, including:
- Most Engaged: Team HTTV – Paul Schnell
- Overachiever Award: Josh Shames
- Out-Before-We-Saw-It-Coming Award: David Chesner & Kurz
- Class Clown: Mitch Kuflik
- Sibling Rivalry: Z & Carly
- Tournament Champions: Rod Moskowitz & Chris, Team We Thought This Was Pickleball
The success of Padel for a Purpose highlights the enthusiasm and generosity of the VE community. Funds raised from the event will help expand our programs and provide students nationwide with hands-on business experiences.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and supported this inaugural event. Your commitment makes it possible for VE to continue empowering students with the skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial mindset they need to succeed.
