WGN Radio’s Steve Grzanich discussed the upcoming Great Lakes Conference & Exhibition and more with Nick Chapman, VE’s President and National Program Director, on The Opening Bell.

Interview Highlights

Mr. Chapman spoke about what makes VE different from typical business or computer classes: “This is the first chance they get in their educational career to really drive the car… They’re given the freedom to fail and the opportunity to succeed.”

The VE program is more than just a year-long career environment, as “over 75% of all VE students stay in the career path that they decide in high school in their Virtual Enterprise class.”

Companies like Deloitte and HSBC that donate their time, money, and professional expertise to VE students benefit in the long-run as well. “For the corporations, it’s a great opportunity to get these kids ready and develop your workforce and your talent pipeline.”
