The Royal Gazette: “Virtual success for CedarBridge, Berkeley”

On January 24, 2019, The Royal Gazette, Bermuda’s only daily newspaper, featured VE students from CedarBridge Academy and Berkeley Institute and their experience participating in the 2019 Long Island Regional Conference & Exhibition. Students from CedarBridge Academy and Berkeley Institute traveled from Bermuda to take part in the event which brought together 2,000 student participants from 80 schools for a day of trading, networking, and competitions.

LaToya Francis, the instructor of CedarBridge’s virtual enterprise class, said the experience was “awesome” for her pupils.

She added: “They really enjoyed themselves. It took them out of their comfort zone. It challenged them. It showed them a brighter and bigger picture of the real world.”
