New York, NY — June 16, 2026 — Virtual Enterprises International (VE) is proud to announce a $25,000 grant from Santander Bank, N.A. that will expand career-connected learning opportunities that prepare middle and high school students for success in college, careers, and the workforce.Â
The grant will provide more students with VE’s experiential learning programs, which empower middle and high school students to develop the business, leadership, and career readiness skills employers value most. Through VE’s innovative model, students launch and run businesses, collaborate with peers, solve business challenges, participate in trade exhibitions and business competitions, and present their work to business professionals.
In addition to Santander’s financial support, the partnership will offer Santander employees opportunities to volunteer as mentors, guest speakers, competition judges, and career coaches, helping students build professional skills, expand their networks, and gain firsthand insight into today’s workplace.Â
“As employers increasingly seek graduates with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, partnerships like this help bridge the gap between education and the workforce,” said John Widlund, VEI’s President. “Santander’s investment is helping ensure that more students gain the confidence, experience, and professional connections they need to succeed.”Â
Santander Bank, N.A.’s investment reflects its commitment to expanding educational opportunities by supporting programs that prepare young people for meaningful careers while strengthening the future workforce. Together, Santander Bank and Virtual Enterprises International are expanding access to career-connected learning that provides students with the business, leadership, and workplace skills needed to become the next generation of business leaders.
