In the beginning of the VE school year, students use Intuit’s Design 4 Delight process (D4D) to create product(s)/service(s) that meet the needs of consumers. The National D4D Competition is a bi-annual event in which VE students utilize D4D’s core business principles – deep customer empathy, creativity, collaboration, and rapid experimentation – to solve business problems. Approximately 100 VE businesses competed in the Fall competition.
The D4D competition required students to conduct an oral presentation and provide supporting materials to judges addressing the company’s design thinking process. Judges then graded them on their leadership skills, demonstration of intrapreneurship, collaboration efforts, creative problem solving, research and analysis, use of technology, and more.
Congratulations to the participants of this competition! We extend our gratitude to the incredible group of judges – from Intuit and Broadridge Financial Solutions – along with our wonderful VE staff, especially Gina Pol, National Program Director, and Lily Thompson, National Program Coordinator.
