Each year, the VE Youth Business Summit (YBS) brings together thousands of rising young professionals, budding entrepreneurs, educators, school/district administrators, business leaders and industry professionals from around the world for a one-of-a-kind global convention hosted in New York City.
The dynamic, three-day event includes business competitions, leadership events, and professional networking, allowing middle- and high-school VE talent from around the world to display their professional skills and business acumen and transact business with each other and other consumers.
2023YBS was the largest event to date and hosted in three locations throughout NYC – the United Federation of Teachers and the iconic Javits Center in Manhattan and Long Island University in Brooklyn.
This 2023YBS recap illustrates some of the highlights of the memorable event! Help us share this and all the tremendous work of the VE community widely.

We are eternally grateful to our major business supporters – YBS title sponsor HSBC and partners Intuit, Deloitte, and New York Life – for not only funding our programs and activities but also taking an active role in serving as volunteers and mentors both inside and outside the classroom. Thanks to their unwavering dedication, over 27,000 future business leaders in 500+ middle and high schools across 20 states will combine the VE experience with their passions and determination and propel themselves into bright futures.
We extend our gratitude to Antimatter who provides teachers with a suite of creative activities for their classrooms and challenges students to create puzzles or tell stories through memes. Students attending 2023 YBS had the chance to participate in a meme-making contest.
We also thank our university partners at Fairleigh Dickson University, Long Island University, and Parsons School of Design for joining the trade exhibition to provide students with the resources they need as they plan for life after high school.
